Mommy Makeover

Body Procedures

Pregnancy and breast feeding can significantly change a woman’s body. Loose skin, stretch marks, and laxity of the muscles of the abdomen can occur. In addition, women can develop umbilical hernias after pregnancy. A Mommy Makeover can help improve the appearance of the abdomen, breast and improve a woman’s self-image. It is important to know that a Mommy Makeover is not one specific surgical procedure.

What surgical procedures are considered part of a Mommy Makeover?
A Mommy Makeover typically includes a tummy tuck (i.e. abdominoplasty) and breast surgery. Depending on your concerns and goals, breast surgery may entail breast augmentation, breast lift (i.e. mastopexy), or a combination of the 2 procedures known as a breast augmentation-mastopexy. Liposuction may also be performed.
Am I a candidate for a Mommy Makeover if I plan to have more children?

A Mommy Makeover should be delayed until you are done having children. In addition, surgery should be delayed until you are at least 1 year after having had your last child.
